Our First El Monte Team Meeting
Wednesday, April 1, was the first time Roxanne and I attended the El Monte Team Meeting held at the Somerville’s house. We talked about everything from financial reports, to recycling, to incoming work teams, to color schemes for the first cabin.

Our Watchdog
Here in Mexico, its a good idea to have a dog in your yard. So we’ve been looking and thinking and praying for the right one. We’ve always had a dog and gave ours away before we left Wisconsin in 2007. Here’s how we came across this one...or how she came to us.

WEC Mexico Field Conference
One of the first official events we participated in after arriving here in Mexico was the annual WEC Mexico Mission Field Conference. It’s a family event held at a small resort for a full week. Here is a picture of our entire team.

Laying Sod at the First Cabin
Since the first time we came down to El Monte in 2005, I’ve been here almost every six months with the exception of one year. Every time I came there was more amazing progress! This time is no exception, but now we will be able to be more a part of what’s developing.
A little over a week ago, we had a work day laying sod at the site of the new cabin and finished a large area of grass near the swimming pool at El Monte.
