Before Leaving for Mexico—Part 1
The three weeks before we left for Mexico, we spent time in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. We had wonderful times with family and friends. It was also a great time to connect with several churches. I will tell the story in three parts and mostly with pictures.
Many people have been praying for my mom who has been dealing with cancer. She nearly went home to be with the Lord a couple of times in April. After an extended time in ICU, she spent several weeks in a rehabilitation hospital. She is home now and completely off her feeding tube. She seems stronger and healthier than she did a year ago.

We Have Arrived Safely in Ticuman, Morelos, Mexico
We made it to Ticuman and God has provided a wonderful house for us to rent for a month. In July, we will likely move over to the El Monte property and live in one of the new missionary student apartments. This house in Ticuman is one of the nicest places we’ve ever had in Mexico. We’ll admit we’re being spoiled, but we’re very thankful. We are looking forward to being able to use this house as a place of ministry with some of the work teams that are coming to El Monte in the next few weeks.

Traveling into Mexico
We’ve come to the point of crossing the border for our summer in Mexico. You can see our itinerary in the previous post. We’ve had a wonderful time in the Midwest and will post pictures and stories soon.
As you read this, please pray for us. Pray for safe travel and for God’s grace in every situation. Pray for our ability to understand and communicate with everyone we meet--it’s time to use what Spanish we have.
Here are some very special verses that the Lord has given to us. We claim them as we travel. Thank you for your prayers.
Deuteronomy 31:8 “The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Hebrews 10:38-39 “But my righteous one will live by faith and if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him. But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.”

Heading for Home!
We’re just about loaded to begin our drive up to Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. We’re looking forward to seeing friends along the way!
Here is a summary of our itinerary. We’ll be driving more than 5000 miles over the next three months. We would appreciate your prayers as we travel and minister in various locations.

*May 13-20 in Minnesota
*May 21-26 in Wisconsin
*May 26-June 2 in Iowa
*June-July in Mexico
*August return to RGBI
We would appreciate your prayer for:
*Our travels north and then south over the next month
*Spiritual growth for each of us (Kerra will be at Camp Forest Springs this summer while the rest of the family is in Mexico.)
*Physical health and strength
*God’s work in preparing our hearts for this summer’s ministry in Mexico during June and July
*A house in Mexico to rent while we’re there
*God’s continued provision

Graduation, A Wedding, and Good-Byes
This has been an event-filled week here at RGBI! Kerra, Roxanne, and I finished our finals on Wednesday and Thursday and Kerra graduated on Thursday night.
First the Bible Institute students received their diplomas, then the Language School Students received theirs. The commencement ceremony ended with the faculty standing behind all the graduates for prayer.
