Friday, May 2nd was our last day of classes. Dialog number 12 had to be recited from memory. My friend John and I got to laughing a bit on this one in our first hour grammar class.

The last class of the day was conversation. Somewhere along the way during this semester, we started a tradition of meeting in someones home and enjoying coffee while we talked. Here we are seated around the table with our picture dictionaries.

Rio Grande Bible Institute has a dedicated staff in the music department. They teach a variety of lessons for instruments and voice for all the students and their families. This year, Kyle and Joelle have both been taking lessons so they had the privilege of performing in the spring recital.

The above picture is the spring semester class of which Roxanne and I are a part of. Most of our classmates will be returning in the fall for the second semester.
Every school year, there are two groups of students so a new class will come in for their first semester next fall. It must be interesting for the teachers who teach the same material over and over again every semester. Thinking of that makes me appreciate their patience with us as we learn. They have a special ministry helping to prepare missionaries.

A Gift to Visit Home
Last weekend was a very special time for me to be able to go home to Minnesota and see my family. Mom has been in the hospital since March 10. She had two plus weeks in ICU and now is in a rehabilitation program.
She has made incredible progress! Her cancer doctor said that he has never seen anyone as sick as mom come this far. We are thanking the Lord for sparing her life. It appears that she will be able to get out of the hospital in one or two more weeks.
