Inner-City Outreach Report
We spent the week after Saturday’s block party doing door-to-door evangelism through the neighborhood. I don’t have numbers, but there were several people who were very obviously prepared by the Holy Spirit to receive the Message we brought. It was amazing to see God at work as these people prayed to receive Christ. We really had the sense that these were Divine appointments.

Inner-City Outreach Event
Part of our missionary training this week has been a practical experience helping with an inner-city outreach in Philadelphia.
Last Saturday, in cooperation with Cornerstone Community Church, our team was part of a Block Party for a neighborhood that is known for its high crime rate. It’s estimated that more than 500 people came out to the party! There were several people walking the street sharing the Gospel one-on-one and that evening the Gospel was shared again at a free street concert. Our whole family got involved.
On Sunday, we attended church there and each day this week, we are doing door-to-door evangelism…

Someone looking at our website recently asked this question. It’s a great question so I thought I would use this blog post to answer it by posting pictures of some of the great people we interact with here in our missionary training.
We spend each morning, Monday through Friday in class. Various veteran missionaries are our teachers…

Our Trip to Historic Philadelphia
We are enjoying having most of our weekends off this fall. Last Saturday, we joined another family for a train ride into downtown Philadelphia for a day of sightseeing. Neil and Pam Donoghue and their kids Megan and Stephen are missionary candidates with us.
It was a fun trip to see the Birthplace of America.

What God is teaching me right now
This year I’ve been using Andrew Murray books for my quiet times with the Lord. I am currently in a book called, “The Holiest of All,” a verse-by-verse study of the book of Hebrews. As you may know, Hebrews 11 is the great FAITH chapter of the Bible. Chapter 11 begins with the verse, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Verse 6 says, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”
Since you are checking our website, you are aware that our venture into Mexico is a walk of faith.
