60th Wedding Anniversary
Paul’s parents celebrate their 60th!
This picture was taken on August 20 at my sister’s house where Mom and Dad celebrated their anniversary. Sixty years of marriage is no small accomplishment! And this anniversary is that much more special because we know that the Lord spared mom’s life this past year.
Congratulations Mom & Dad!
You may recall that mom has been fighting cancer and nearly went home to be with the Lord last April. I was able to fly up to Minnesota to be with my parents while mom was in the hospital. All the while mom was in the hospital, Dad was running daily to his doctor for radiation treatments for his cancer.
Take a look at the progress Mom has made since I visited her last April!

This next picture was taken in early August.
Mom, you’re beautiful! We thank God for you and are so glad you have recovered so completely. We couldn’t believe this picture when we saw it! We’re looking forward to being with you at Christmas.
Mom and dad moved this summer to a new house. They are just blocks from my youngest sister Dawn who has been an amazing trooper faithfully helping mom and dad with any and all their needs while they both dealt with cancer this past year. We are all glad they are now in a neighborhood association where they will have no outside maintenance responsibilities--they’ve earned that privilege!

Great post, Paul.
Congrats to your parents on this rare milestone. They are an example to all who know them.
What a great way to honor your parents despite you not being able to attend their celebration.
Mrs. Wilson, you do look great after all the Lord has brought into your life this past year. We have been praying for you and we are praising the Lord for answered prayer.
