Adam Beasterfield Comes to Volunteer at El Monte

Part of Vision 2010

Adam spent the last year in tech school for heavy equipment operation.  The conclusion of his training is a one month practicum on the job.  Adam requested permission to volunteer his time in Mexico serving at El Monte.  Permission was granted and he is here having paid his own way to come.  In addition, he’s donating all his operating costs!  We’re thanking the Lord for Adam!

In these pictures, Adam is building a new road into the hidden upper valley at El Monte.  This is the area where we want to develop the pastor’s renewal center.

We’re excited to open up this valley so that the vision can be more widely shared and understood by our friends and ministry partners as we trust God for His timing in the development of this area.

Seeing Adam build this road reminds me of the many pictures I’ve seen over the years of the first roads being built at Camp Forest Springs in Wisconsin as that ministry was first starting more than 50 years ago.

You may have also heard that El Monte has received a large financial gift to build a new bath & shower house near our recreation fields.  The timing couldn’t have been better.  Adam is here at just the right time to prepare the foundation and dig the hole for the septic tank.

Construction should begin in the next few days!  Praise the Lord with us as we thank Him for the financial blessing and the timing for Adam to be here.  If you know Adam, thank him too for his hard work serving the Lord here in 100+ degree weather!

Give that man a cup of cold water!

Praise the Lord for young men who want to serve God with their lives and through their gifts/talents.

God sure can bring the right people at the right time!  Thanks Adam and God for Your provisions.

This post is such a blessing to me.  I remember Adam as a little boy when I counseled at CFS!  It’s so neat to see kids who you have invested in serving the Lord with their entire being.  Adam’s father, Ira, has played a pivotal role in my spiritual development when I got to serve under him doing maintenance while in high school at CFS.  I remember Ira doing a devotional on being a bond-servant with us in the dining hall.  It was a concept that, up to that point in my life, was absolutely foreign.  How neat to see that what Ira taught to me (and modeled for me as a teen) was lived out and taught by Ira to Adam.  So what a blessing and encouragement to see Adam serving the Lord, as a bond-servant of Christ, in the way of Christ, under the example of his father.  Thanks for the post!  How great is our God

Is this the same Adam that, as a kid, sat around our campfire at CFS and ate everything in sight?  Now he is sitting behind huge machines moving dirt.  Time sure flies.  Bet he still eats everything in sight.  His service sure is wonderful for your camp.  I’m sure he is a blessing.  Keep up doing Kingdom work, Adam.
