Before Leaving for Mexico—Part 3
We wanted to share a couple of other special events that happened while we were in the Mid-west--Kerra’s graduation from college and Peter’s baptism.
While we were in Minnesota, Kerra graduated from Northwestern College in St. Paul with her Associate in Bible with an emphasis in business. We’re very proud of her accomplishments! She had to finish a four credit class by distance education while she was taking a full load in language school in Texas.
While we were in Wisconsin at Camp Forest Springs, Peter was baptized by the pastor of Woodland Community Church. This is the church that we attended when we lived there. Peter asked to be baptized before we move to Mexico as missionaries. For him it is everything it should be--a commitment and testimony that he will live his life for Jesus Christ!
He gave his testimony and was baptized in front of a large group of family campers and people that came out to camp from the church.
As a dad, I had the privilege of going over Scripture with Peter regarding baptism and hearing him pray and commit his life to live for the Lord. This was a very special time for our family.

Wilsons!!! Just got updated on your last several posts. So glad to hear you’ve arrived safely and have wonderful accommodations. We trust the Bishops have arrived safely too! I was so sorry to not have had a chance to say hi to you Paul, when you were here. It was a very busy weekend, and now I feel a bit more socially distracted with the little man in tote. Love him to pieces though:) But we do miss your family so much around here, so it was great that you were able to swing back through. I love seeing Kerra at camp and am so glad she’s back for the summer as well. She’s an amazing receptionist - thanks for leaving her, as hard as I’m sure that was. I will continue to pray for your family this summer, and especially for preparation for the work crews you are hosting.
