Everything is For Sale
We would sure appreciate your prayer as we work to sell nearly everything we have. The “For Sale” sign for the house went up last Saturday. We’ve had two showings and several phone calls, but are waiting and trusting. We’re thankful for the initial activity. Please be in prayer for us as we will advertise in local papers this next week.
Some have asked us if this is hard. The simple answer is yes, but we know we are supposed to be doing this. We have a peace from God that this is His plan for us. There have been so many ways in which God has affirmed His plan for us for this time that we are “moving” forward with confidence.
In the process of selling everything, we had two garage sales in May and will have another in June. We intend to keep going until it is all gone. Roxanne really carries the load of these sales. She’s done a great job so far making good decisions as she manages the project. I’m very thankful to her and for her!
It’s amazing and even entertaining to watch people come in and buy things. It reminds me of how birds eat at our bird feeder. They swoop in, grab a quick bite, and fly off to mind whatever is their business… That’s the way our sales have gone so far. It seems like almost everyone who swoops in buys at least one thing and then they leave to mind whatever is their business… It’s great! Pray with us that the Lord will continue to bring just the right people to buy just the right things for just the right price.
With everything we sell, we’re building our “replacement fund” for life in another world far different than the one we have lived in.
