Joelle turns 13
Today is Joelle’s birthday, but we celebrated a little early.
We didn’t have any candles so Peter helped us improvise.
Kerra was just here with a work team from Wisconsin so she brought down birthday cards and presents from home.
Joelle was happy to receive $13 from one of her aunts. We all stared at the “green stuff” and realized that already we aren’t used to seeing money that color.
One of her favorite presents…
Joelle was asking for a chihuahua puppy for her birthday, but we figured one puppy was enough to handle so this is as close as she would get for now.
Joelle hasn’t been home since yesterday noon. She is at an overnight event with the local church youth group. She’ll be back tonight.
We thank the Lord that Joelle is part of our family and have so enjoyed the 13 years of her life. She’s a blessing to us. We love her and we are so proud of her. As you read this, we would ask you to pray for her as she continues to grow and mature as a person and especially in her walk with Christ Jesus.

Joelle,
Feliz Cumpleanos! Hope you had a great birthday! We are hoping to get Major and Waira together this summer to play now that Waira is “older”. I’m glad Kerra was there to share your birthday!
Cuidate mucho!

Happy 13th Birthday, Joelle!! Good thing you have an auntie who sends you money since it’s not me!!!
Looks like you had a really fun day and I also LOVE Coffee Crisp candy bars - do they have those in Mexico? They have them in Canada.
