Last Day of Classes for Our First Semester
Friday, May 2nd was our last day of classes. Dialog number 12 had to be recited from memory. My friend John and I got to laughing a bit on this one in our first hour grammar class.

The last class of the day was conversation. Somewhere along the way during this semester, we started a tradition of meeting in someones home and enjoying coffee while we talked. Here we are seated around the table with our picture dictionaries.

Then...
After class, a bunch of us went out to eat to celebrate! Here are some pictures of our event:

This platter of “Botana” is supposed to be for two people. We fed three and still brought some home! Botana is a very famous dish here in the Rio Grande Valley.

Our classmate, David Flinck, took these pictures. David and his family are preparing to serve in Chile as church planters.
We are grateful to be at this point in our studies! This week is finals and then we begin our summer travels. We appreciate your prayers as we work to finish well and prepare for the summer phase of our ministry.
