Making Progress…
We received this email from my sister Dawn today:
“Wow guys, I think Mom looks really good today. Her favorite chemo nurse came up with me and she agreed. Mom wanted to sit up in the bed and I decided to go in for a hug. She also kissed me. I said, “Awww, the first hug I’ve had in weeks” and Mom scowled and mouthed “weeks!?” incredulously. I said, “yeah, mom-you have been here two weeks” and she looked stunned. She is bored but doesn’t want TV or music. She wants her glasses so she can read. This is very encouraging!!”
Mom has been mouthing the words that she wants to go home. She is still considered in critical condition especially because she is still on the ventilator. They are working daily to help her build up enough strength to breath on her own.
One really cool thing...on Easter Sunday, many of the family members were there at the hospital with mom and they sang for her. She mouthed the words with them to the song, “Up from the Grave He Arose!”

Here in Texas at RGBI, we had a four-day weekend for Easter. We took a trip into Mexico to spend Easter with friends in Monterrey. Check back for my next blog post and I will put up pictures of our adventure with family and friends. In the near future, I will also post a pictorial update on the continued construction progress at El Monte!
...but now, I’ve got to get back to studying for my test tomorrow and my dialog on Friday.
