MKIT Send-Off
Two days each week during our Candidate Orientation, Kyle, Peter, and Joelle attended M-KIT (Missionary Kids In Training). On Tuesday night, December 4, they put on a program for everyone at the WEC US Sending Base.
It was a nice program including music and skits--all done by the kids themselves. Everything was designed to show what they had been learning in their weekly meetings.
As the kids received their “passports” they were officially welcomed into WEC as Missionary Kids.
Separate from MKIT, Kyle has been taking guitar lessons so during the ceremony he led the whole group of about 80 people in worship.
Joelle and some friends made this gingerbread house to decorate the dessert table that we all enjoyed during a time of fellowship after the service.
On Monday morning, the day before the MKIT send off, Joelle and her friends Megan and Mark led a 20 minute worship time for the Sending Base morning prayer time. They really did a great job!
