News about Paul’s Mom…and Dad
It was discovered last fall that my mom has ovarian cancer. She had chemotherapy through the fall and then in early January had surgery. She is now having receiving another series of chemo treatments that seem to be more harsh than the first.

She has lost a lot of weight and often does not feel well. Please continue to pray for her. Her doctor is very encouraging and says, “She is amazing--she’s doing great.” So the good news is that most likely she will have only one more chemo treatment on March 17. We are trusting this will be true.
Meanwhile, Dad, who had prostate cancer and surgery a year ago, now has elevated numbers again and will be receiving radiation treatments soon. Dad feels well and is strong, please pray that that will continue through his treatments.
Last week when mom was receiving her treatment and dad was having a consultation, Dad took the opportunity to share the Gospel with one of the nurses. They were able to have a lengthy conversation that concluded with prayer. She prayed to receive Christ! When mom and dad went back again this week, dad began the follow-up ministry with her. He’s asking her to read through the book of John in the Bible that he gave her.
Dad’s treatments likely begin next week and will be 5 days a week for about 6 weeks. This will give ample opportunity for follow-up ministry! Pray for this gal and thank the Lord with us for this cancer business has eternal value!!!
As you pray for mom and dad, please pray for their ministry to the medical staff! I think of what the Apostle Paul wrote to the Colossians about his ministry…
“And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”
Colossians 4:3-6

Praise the Lord for your parent’s testimony and willingness to obey even amidst a time of trial.
Thanks for posting a picture of your parents. It helps put faces to names as we pray.
