Our Trip to the Mall on Black Friday
While many people were heading out to the mall for those Christmas specials on Black Friday, we went to Washington DC.
Washington DC is just 2 1/2 hours south of where we live in Pennsylvania.
Paul’s cousin Colleen and her family live just outside of the DC area. We visited them on Thanksgiving night and stayed through Saturday giving us ample time to sight-see around Washington.
The new WWII memorial is very impressive and well done! But it was interesting to note that there was no reference to God or a quote of Scripture that is commonly seen on other memorials and monuments around DC.
We were very pleased to be able to get tickets to tour the inside of our nation’s capitol!

As you can see, the air was cool (low 40s), but the sunshine was beautiful! We had a lot of fun as a family, but were missing Kerra who is back in school at Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minnesota. We love you Kerra! And we wish you could have been with us!

What a nice pictoral of your family adventure. Did you see any of the treasure from the movie “National Treasure?” Also I recognize the pretty young lady (Roxanne) and most of the family except that old guy. Who is that? Roxanne did you remarry?
