Roxanne Teaching English to CCT Missionary Students
This school year at the CCT (Center for Cross-cultural Training) missionary training school at El Monte, Roxanne is teaching English. This turns out to be a “win-win” as she teaches English and learns more Spanish.
These students are working hard to learn basic English. Roxanne is very pleased with their progress! There are others taking more advanced English as well.
One of our recent work teams down from Washington State got to spend time in English conversation class with the students. I took several pictures because they all really enjoyed their time together. It was a challenge for the Spanish speaking students to ask and answer questions with the help of the English speakers.
The team said it was very special for each of them to help these missionary candidates grow in their understanding of English. The fellowship they shared was very rich!

Dear Roxanne and Paul,
Bless you bless you. Oh, how fun it is to teach English! We think of you all often and sure do wish to get down your way some day! Know that you are loved and prayed for. If there is anything we can do, let us know. God is good. Steve and I have been asked by IM to help with 2 marriage confs. in Romania in March, so we are excited to see what God has for us. It is our 25th anniv. next year and we were hoping to incorporate and overseas missions trip with some R and R together in England or Wales or Ireland or Scotland or..... We don’t know yet. Anyway, it is exciting to be in God’s hand and following where He leads. Saw your update and wanted to say HI!!! God’s presence go with you, Ann, Steve and Zupke family in Iowa

I remember the first stages of using what I’d learned of another language. I rode the bus with another girl from my language class. She didn’t speak English, I didn’t speak Portuguese, and we were both trying to learn German. We used our dictionaries and laughed a lot!

It is always fun to see what the Lord is doing in your lives and ministry! I still think of you guys often and hope someday our paths will cross again!!
