Sold! Praise the Lord with us!
We took down the “For Sale” sign today! We have an accepted offer to purchase our home in Westboro. It is a solid and straight forward offer and we anticipate “smooth saling”. Please do praise the Lord with us--closing is set for August 23. That happens to be our last day in this area. God’s timing is perfect!
You might wonder why we took the sign down right away...we were selling by owner and if this deal falls through, we will have to list with a Realtor. Our strong sense is that this will not be necessary. The purchasers are a young family and newer staff members at Camp Forest Springs.

We have been a bit delinquent in our blogging because we are consumed right now with selling and packing. As I write this, we have about a week and a half before we leave Wisconsin.
Last weekend we had our fourth garage sale and it was a huge success! We asked God to send just the right people for just the right stuff. He answered our prayer! There were only a few clothes and some scattered items left on our tables. We praise the Lord for His provision. Everything that needed to sell, sold.
The night before the Garage Sale, Kerra and Gerardo were goofing around in our go-kart one last time. Our kids really enjoyed that kart! One time when Peter was little, he drove it round and round the house. After he had been doing it for a long time, I walked over to him, he stopped and leaned over and said, “Dad, this thing is awesome!” Needless to say, the go-kart sold on the first morning of the sale.
After the sale, we had two old dining chairs that hadn’t sold so Peter dismantled them and creatively arranged them on the driveway.

Through this entire process, we have continued to experience God’s loving guidance. We are very thankful. Though it is a stressful time, we know we are growing in our faith. It is an amazing experience to sell almost everything you have and to let go of all that you have known. But we know that God is calling and we will follow! As our earthly possessions dwindle, we are all the more aware of our heavenly possession in Christ!!! We know that God is teaching us every day and we can see definite spiritual growth in each other. Thank you for your faithful prayers on our behalf!

God is so good! I’m glad to hear that God provided a buyer for your house. Continue to trust in him for he will always provide according to his will (which is much better than our own)!
