Special Banquet for the Graduates
On Friday, April 25, our first semester class put on a special banquet for the graduating class. Kerra is in that special group.
Our little class of 13 people (plus a few other spouses) had a blast getting everything ready. We cooked the meal and decorated the RGBI Multi-purpose building and planned a short program in honor of the graduating class.

The RGBI kitchen was a buzz as several from our class joined the normal kitchen staff. together they prepared a very special Chicken Parmesan dinner that was served to the students in the main dining hall and to the graduate banquet in the other building.
It was a very special evening. Our theme was Koinonia and we really enjoyed our fellowship around the tables!
The couple at the far side of this table is Senores Julio and Alma Varela. Julio is my conversation class teacher and Kyle’s guitar teacher. Alma is Roxanne’s and my grammar teacher and Joelle’s voice teacher. They both grew up in Mexico.
The first-semester class president was master of ceremonies.
Dr. Manny Gutierrez was our speaker. Dr. Gutierrez is the language school dean and a specialist in linguistics. He is also teaches our phonetics, Latin America, and special grammar classes.
We thank the Lord for answering prayer that this event would be a blessing to all who attended. It truly was a special time of Christian fellowship with people who share a “ministry heart” for Spanish speaking people.

I just recently discovered you guys have a website. I’ve enjoyed going through and seeing what all you’ve been up to since school ended.
This brings back lots of memories! Thanks for a wonderful night, it truly was a blessing and I know I had a great time.
I suppose you’re starting to think about classes again...hope they go well! Miss you guys, I’ll be thinking about you as head back to RGBI in Aug.
