Vamos a Cantar

...Con la Musica del Cielo

This song translated means, “We’re going to sing with the music of heaven!” It became the theme song of our summer youth camps and of the Grace Church Roseville, MN work team that came in July.

The work team helped us install a new security fence along the front of our El Monte property.  When it’s complete, it’ll be more than 530 meters long!  This week, another team is coming from San Diego to continue working on the fence.  We are so proud of the Grace team as they worked very hard to dig, mix and pour cement, and install half of the fence posts!  They did such a great job!

Ian still had enough energy to goof around and pretend that he was really working!

The group also helped us with trench digging and water runoff control.  It’s been a wet year for us and our soccer fields have been flooding, but this group’s work has made a big difference!

When the work breaks came, they were well deserved and everyone was hot and tired!

In addition to the work at El Monte, the team had several interactions with our local church here in Ticuman.  They played volleyball at our house with the local youth and helped run the daily vacation Bible school programs.

At the end of the week of VBS, the church ladies served a special lunch for our team in appreciation of their service during the week.  What a blessing that was!

When the team first arrived, they blessed us with bringing a ton of supplies for both the Vacation Bible School and the El Monte camps!  Here is Gerardo Santiago, our camp program director overwhelmed with the blessing of all the stuff!

He had just been asking about our budget for program needs...we don’t have one yet, but this is how God provided!

One evening, the team enjoyed a very special time of testimony with our staff, Ezekiel and Carolina.

Toward the end of the 10 day trip, we took the team out to eat at the beautiful Las Estacas restaurant.

For some of their time off activities, we took them to see the ruins of a 500 year old Spanish hacienda and a 1200 year old pyramid.

We are thanking God for all that this team did!  We so enjoyed hosting them and ministering together here at El Monte and in our local town of Ticuman!  We praise God for all He has done in and through them!

THANK YOU GRACE CHURCH FOR ALL YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT AND HELP!
