  • installed outside lights around the swimming pool

One of the real highlights of the experience was a “Dia del Campo” with local youth coming to El Monte for a day camp. The CFS team was in charge of several activities including ice breakers, giving their testimonies, and game time. The day included a work session and ended with a time of worship and a devotional.

There were three main areas of work: 1. clearing, cleaning and beautifying the entrance of El Monte, 2. collecting rocks for retaining walls, 3. clearing for a soccer field.

The team did a great job with the games and testimonies! Our daughter Kerra was the program director--she did it all in Spanish!!

There was plenty of food and fellowship!

Here’s a picture of all of us at the end of the day.

We’re so thankful to Camp Forest Springs for helping and enabling this group to come. They were a blessing to all of us! One of our short-term missionaries
said it was boring to work at El Monte the day after the group left. Praise the Lord with us for all that was accomplished!

Paul, what an encouragement.  I know from over 20 years of going to CFS and working on staff of the commitment to help Christian camps on a worldwide basis through LTD.  However, sending a group makes an even larger statement in my mind.  They are not building their own kingdom at CFS but helping building and expand His kingdom and salvation message on a global scale by words AND deeds.  I praise the Lord for this post.  Thanks so much.
