Central Mexico

Work Team from North Carolina

We just enjoyed a week of fellowship and hard work with these four very special people, Pastor John Mitchell, Don & Sue Striver, and Kelsey.  It’s always a blessing and encouragement to have people come, serve and partner in ministry with us at El Monte.

The men worked with our fellow missionary David Mitchell to finish the new kitchen addition at the Palapa on the camp ridge.  This project began a month ago when Jason Zamora was here and poured the concrete floor.  To see pictures of this you can read the post titled, ”Jason Zamora Visits El Monte.”

Together the men also built a carpetball table and three tetherball sets.

The ladies helped prepare several meals for the CCT missionary school students. ...mmm, southern biscuits!  They also helped out with several office projects.

This week we have shared afresh in the fellowship of the Body of Christ with these special servants.  It was a joy to see the relationships build between them and our Mexican CCT students as well.  Take a moment and thank the Lord with us for what He has done.  Pray also for the continued development of the El Monte Ministry Center.

Our Father God and Provider of all Good things,

I pause to praise and thank You for your recent works of provision and encouragement at the El Monte Ministry Canter.  We realize that nothing can be done without You, so we pause to declare our dependence on You alone.

There is so much to do in the ministry.  The fields are white unto the harvest, yet the laborers are few.  I pray to You, the Lord of the harvest, to send more laborers and helpers to the needy fields.

Thank you for sending this work team from NC.  May their sacrificial efforts and loving investments in the work help in the continued development of a indigenous Christ-centered camp & conf. center ministry in southern Mexico.  While physical buildings and facilities are part of the overall ministry, we know that restoring people’s souls to Yourself is Your ultimate goal. It is to that end we pray.

I pray this all in the name and through the mighty blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen.

How wonderful to see my “NC” team busy at work.  Kelsey is my daughter.  She had a wonderful time.  Thank you so much for making her feel at home.  God has great things in store for Kelsey and I am so thankful that you guys were part of nurturing her gifts while she was in Mexico.  She looks forward to visiting you again.  May God bless you all.  Thanks again for loving on my Kelsey while she was in Mexico.

God Bless
Jennifer

Thanks be to God who leads us into triumph! Thanks be to God who’s won the victory!

It is so wonderful to see all these updates and how God is truly at work at El Monte. What a lovely outdoor kitchen! And carpetball has got to be my favorite camp game.

I am praying for the whole “land ownership suit” to be declared a civil matter. Our God is much bigger than this problem, and yet He cares enough for you to know every teeny tiny detail. Isn’t that awesome!

Love -n- Prayers

Lisa
