About Us
We are the Wilsons. We are in the midst of a significant transition in our lives as we leave our long standing ministry at Camp Forest Springs in Wisconsin to join the WEC International Mexico team in Ticuman, Morelos, Mexico.
Our years at Camp Forest Springs have been a very rich and satisfying experience. We have told many people that we have no reason to leave Camp Forest Springs...except the Lord; and we have every reason to stay at Camp Forest Springs...except the Lord. It is God who is moving us and we proceed with glad obedience.
We are preparing to serve at the El Monte Minstry Center. We expect Paul's primary ministry will be helping develop the camp & conference ministry of El Monte. This will involve the ministry philosophy, facilities, and program. From the beginning, we will be training Mexican camping leaders and building a team of national staff members.
Roxanne's primary work will likely be a support role as wife and mother. She will be an active member of the WEC Mexico missionary team and therefore will be involved in various regular missionary activities.
Kerra (1988) has graduated from Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minnesota with a two-year associate's degree in Bible with an emphasis in business. She has also graduated from Rio Grande Bible Institute Language School. She is excited about what God is doing through our move. Kerra has sensed the Lord asking her to open her hands and let Him take control of her life and plans. She has responded and told us that now her open hands are lifted above her head and she cannot see what God is doing. But she is trusting and letting Him work! Pray for Kerra as she grows and matures!
Kyle (1991) has completed his sophomore year in high school and he's driving now. He loves basketball, friends, and music. Kyle will tell you that he does not want to move but he is keeping his heart open realizing that if God is moving us, He's moving him. Kyle has given the move to Mexico to the Lord. Pray for his growth and his understanding as he learns to trust God more!
Peter (1994) has completed 8th grade and loves soccer and anything in the outdoors. He is intrigued by the idea of living in Mexico--it's the adventure that intrigues him. His eyes light up when he hears about caves in the area where we will live or when he sees pictures of other missionary kids with 4 ft boas as "pets." Peter has always amazed us with his spiritual insights. Pray that his relationship with the Lord will grow stronger.
Joelle (1996) has completed 6th grade. We see her changing before our eyes. She makes friendships fast. She is really enjoying making friends with people from all around the world. Joelle is excited about the move, but we know she will miss the friends she has made along the way. She talks often about Mexico.
